ACC & Referrals
Do I need a referral? Mobile Service
No, you do not need a referral to use our services. You can book directly with us for private treatment.
If you are covered under ACC or coming through a GP or specialist, a referral can be helpful but is not required.
Important: You do not need to see a GP first before seeing us. Our physiotherapists can assess and lodge ACC claims directly.
Is my injury covered under ACC?
In most cases, yes. ACC provides support if your injury was caused by an accident or sudden event, such as:
- Sprains, fractures, dislocations
- Falls
- Sports injuries
- Workplace-related injuries
ACC covers:
- Accidental injuries (sprains, breaks, dislocations, falls, sports injuries)
- Workplace-related injuries (including some gradual injuries like RSI)
- Treatment injuries (an injury that happens during medical treatment)
- Aggravation of a pre-existing condition caused by an accident
ACC usually don't cover:
- Wear and tear or degeneration (e.g., arthritis)
- Pain without a clear accident or cause
If your claim is accepted, ACC will help cover the cost of your physiotherapy.
Is your mobile service covered under ACC?
Yes, if your injury is covered under ACC, we are able to provide mobile physiotherapy under ACC guidelines.
Important: Have your ACC claim number ready and we'll handle the paperwork. If you have not yet lodged an ACC claim, one of our physiotherapists can do this for you upon initial assessment.
We are registered with ACC and can electronically submit claims on your behalf. ACC will cover a larger portion of the physio service, with a smaller co-payment for you to pay.
