Why interviews?

Interviews are a way to know whether the candidate is fit for the job or whether the job fits the preferences of an applicant.

Types of interviews

There are many types of job interviews. Some of them include the following:

Formal interview

Behavioral interview is an interviewing technique that hiring managers use to predict the future behaviour of their prospective employees based on past events. Employers use this type of interview to evaluate a candidate’s past behavior in different situations in order to predict their future performance. It’s easier to predict success based on candidate’s past experiences than on speculation.

Informal interview

Behavioral interview is an interviewing technique that hiring managers use to predict the future behaviour of their prospective employees based on past events. How to answer behavioural interview questions

Generally it follows the STAR method:

  • S: Describe a situation that relates to the question given
  • T: Describe the task that was involved
  • A: Describe the action you took
  • R: Describe the result of the action you took, including lessons learns.
